Public Health for Clinical Specialties Course

Public health is an exciting discipline of growing importance nationally and globally. This requires a broad population-based approach which integrates health sector interventions with those from many other spheres of human influence (political, economic, communities, social, educational, environmental and others).
The three-day course from 26-28 March 2014 in Birmingham has now sold out. The Faculty of Public (FPH) will be holding the course again on 17-19 September 2014.

The course has been developed specifically, and is only open to, trainees from other clinical specialties who have an interest in public health and want to develop their skills in this field.
Course fee: £350.
The sessions will cover the following core public health topics:
- Epidemiology
- Health Protection
- Health Services
- Management for Specialty Registrars
- Critical Appraisal
- How to write a research proposal.
